#love hakuba and love the db

#this one really isn't even speculation#its just hope#because i love the thought of Hakuba seeing this group of five childrens and considering them valid coworkers#hakuba: .... what? they're at least as competent as detective Mouri.

Now I’m wondering how Hakuba would interact with the rest of The Detective Boys and how that would influence his opinion on Conan.

I like to think that he would start out treating them in the same way he treats Conan, but then very quickly have to course correct a bit when he realizes that while they certainly are detectives in their own right they don't keep up the same way Conan does.

As a bonus, I'd love it if he also got to see Haibara in her element with a case that involves chemical or medical information, just so he has to course correct again 'ah maybe it isn't that these other children aren't as smart, maybe they're specialists and conan is their generalist.'

But really, that's mostly me just being hopeful
